Other Jubilee Features:
A Jubilee History of Burnside High School is being written by well known history teacher, Paul O'Connor and will be available for purchase.
Jubilee Memorabilia will be available for purchase, including a Jubilee Wine, especially bottled for the Jubilee by blind ex student Chung-Pin Lin.
The formation of an Alumni Association as part of the jubilee has been mooted and we welcome expressions of interest and ideas on the nature of the Asociation.
Kirkwood Intermediate is also celebrating its jubilee at Easter so ex students can renew their links with both schools in the same weekend.
Amazing Interest:
Although registrations have not yet opened, several hundred ex students and staff from all round the world have already expressed an interest in attending and registered their contact details on our database. Early registration is encouraged because the size of Burnside High School means that entry to some events will have to be limited. Don't delay, plan to be there now and book your flights!
I look forward to welcoming you back to your old school.
Regards, Sandra Sidaway (nee King, 1964-68) Acting Principal and Chairperson of Jubilee Committee.
