Community member guide to the role of school boards
Our school board is responsible for the governance of our school. The board:
-
Sets the strategic direction and targets for our school
-
Develops policies and procedures
-
Consults with the community to make major decisions
-
Oversees curriculum, finance, property and health and safety
-
Employs staff at our school
The board must comply with the Education and Training Act 2020 and all other legislative requirements.
Our board also consists of our principal and associate principal, student representative and a staff representative.
Key election dates are listed below. We’re using Election Pilot to manage the election process. Emails will be sent to the address we have on file, inviting nominations for the School Board and, if required, providing details about voting.
