About The Aurora Centre
Burnside High School is fortunate to own and operate the Aurora Centre, which is a community and cultural hub for Christchurch.
The Centre is a fantastic venue for our school, accommodating our divisional and year group assemblies and also providing a performance stage for our creative arts department.
Our purpose
The Aurora Centre aims to enrich the cultural and social fabric of Christchurch by providing a versatile space for local and international artists to showcase their talents including music, theatre, dance and other performing acts.
The centre also serves as a space for community-based events and gatherings and helps foster a strong connection to Burnside High School.
Access to the venue is after 4.30pm.
