Career Development

The Burnside High School Careers team is part of our student support faculty.

The team works closely with all students, all teaching staff and divisional deans and counsellors to help each student find their path.

Our school career development programme is available to all students, every year. Through class-based seminars and individual interviews, students build the career management competencies that enable them to become effective decision makers. Each student is encouraged and supported to make a plan for the first steps post-secondary education. This may be into tertiary education, employment or training.
