Donations
Why do we have donations?
Each year our school Board asks each family for a donation to enhance the quality of education and facilities that we are able to provide for our students.
We are very proud of the continuing outstanding achievements of our students and the dedication of our teachers and staff. However, maintaining and improving this standard of education unfortunately requires more than just passion and effort; it requires substantial financial resources.
We ask all parents and caregivers to financially support the school by paying a donation of $275 for one student or $400 for two or more students from the same family, and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) donation of $40 per family.
These are donations, and we would like to thank the number of families who often generously contribute in excess of the suggested donation amount, for which we are very grateful. Likewise, if these donations would cause genuine hardship, we welcome any contribution that you are able to make. We ask that all families make an effort to contribute as they are able to.
The PTA asks for a modest additional lump-sum donation instead of asking for parents and whānau to be involved in fundraising activities during the year.
These donations are tax deductible up to a rate of 33% of the donation paid. To find out more, please review the Inland Revenue website.
