Our aim at Burnside is to have each student leave school with qualifications that will enable them to enter the world of work and/or tertiary study successfully.
As students find their preferred path in life we actively work with them to create a career plan, which informs them of the necessary skills and qualifications that they will require to be successful in their chosen path.

Students at Burnside High can take advantage of our vast curriculum. Due to our size we are able to offer a very broad and well rounded curriculum to cater to all our students needs and preferences.
We are extremely proud of our examination outcomes across both the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) and the Cambridge International Examinations that we offer. Our students consistently perform to a very high standard in these examinations and regularly receive scholarships, endorsements and awards at a local, regional, national and international level.
