Burnside High School’s digital technologies curriculum has another achievement to add to its list. Ethan Davidson and Ashton Brevoort, have clinched the prestigious Bright Awards in the video game category, a testament to their exceptional talent and creativity. Not only did they earn $3000 for themselves, but they also secured the same amount for our school, further enhancing our reputation as a hub of innovation and excellence.
This triumph at the Bright Awards adds to their already impressive list of achievements. Earlier last year, their game received accolades at the NIWA Science and Tech fair, and won the school-wide end-of-year game jam, demonstrating their commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is now possible for high school students with the modern digital tools and self directed learning within our structured program.
