Our music department is preparing for a series of concerts which will be presented to our closest primary and intermediate schools across three days in May.
The aim of this initiative is to raise the profile of music in our partner schools and to showcase the talent that we are fortunate to have at our school.
The roadshows also help intermediate aged children and their parents make informed decisions about their secondary school choice by outlining the special musical opportunities that exist at Burnside.
The Roadshow is an NCEA assessment opportunity for our Music Technology students.
The groups performing are our Big Band, Contemporary Bands, Chamber Groups, Vocalists, SMP Jazz groups, and Music Tech groups.
Our musicians will be attending Chisnallwood Intermediate, Breens Intermediate, Heaton Intermediate, Russley Primary, Avonhead Primary, Westburn Primary, Merrin Primary and Roydvale Primary.
The roadshow will take place 7-9 May. Please note the performances are not open to the public. We wish them luck for this series.
