We are absolutely thrilled to share the outstanding results from the Dance NZ Made Nationals 2025 this past weekend in Palmerston North.
Our Burnside dancers shone on stage and brought home some insanely phenomenal achievements in some massive sections:
-
Emmy Sandford – 1st place, Year 10 Solos
-
Poppy Brown – 2nd place, Year 11 Solos + 4th Overall Highest Score nationally
-
Dylan O’Keefe – 1st place, Year 13 Solo + Winner of the L.A. Dance Tour Scholarship, giving him the opportunity to train with some of the best studios in LA for two weeks.

Take a bow, Burnside Dance, an awesome achievement. A huge congratulations to you all but also to the head of our programme, Talia Ellis and our outstanding teachers and supporters, in particular Molly Brown, a former student. Your dedication has not gone without recognition with Talia Ellis taking out the DanceNZMade 2025 Teacher of the Year accolade.
Look out for the billboard which will be up shortly.
