Our very own Track Stars were in action at the NZ Track and Field Championships in Auckland over the weekend. Perhaps you saw them on the live television coverage?
Congratulations to our four students who spent the weekend in Auckland and delivered some exceptional results.
Our contingent was spearheaded by Barnaby Todd, who achieved a personal best in the Men’s U18 400 metres, clocking an impressive 51.90 seconds in the final after a blistering 51.76 in his qualifying race. Congratulations on your fifth placing overall.
Barnaby also bought home a silver medal as part of the U18 Men’s 4 x 400m relay team alongside his Canterbury team mates and will now have the honour of being part of the New Zealand U18 Men’s team to travel to Darwin to the Oceania Championships in May. A massive congratulations.
