Pink Shirt Day

In support of Pink Shirt Day 2026, to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity, students were encouraged to wear a pink accessory with their uniform.

Our year 13 leaders hosted a range of activities and games in the quad for lunchtime.

It was all about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion or cultural background. It was a huge amount of fun, which the photos can attest too. Thanks Year 13 leaders for your enthusiasm and organisation!

Bullying in Aotearoa is a real problem. We have the third-highest rate of school bullying out of 38 OECD countries and one in five workers have experienced bullying behaviour in the past 12 months. Those bullied are far more likely to experience mental health issues. Pink Shirt Day works to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity in all its forms and supporting schools, workplaces and communities to be safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
