Congratulations to the 18 students who attended the South Island Secondary School Athletics at Saxon Field in Nelson over the first weekend of April.
Our students lived their school values in both their performances and off the field, so much so that we had other schools commending our team culture.
Two students now hold south Island titles, congratulations to:

Zach Bray Lim who is now the Under 14 Javelin champion throwing 41 metres 18 centimetres for a best personal best. Zach also placed fourth in the Under 14 High Jump.

Hosea Wood took out the title of Open Steeplechase also with a personal best and came fourth in the Under 16 800m.

A special mention to Trelise Forster, 12WWTA, who came in a very close fourth in both Under 19 100m and Under 19 Long Jump.
Also a special mention for Year 9 competitor Xurick Pagulayan, 9WPEC, who in only his second event ever placed fourth in Triple Jump with a personal best and he demonstrated his school values but rounding out the 4 x 400m relay team.
