Our Kapa Haka team took to the stage last Saturday at the annual Tūhono competition at the Christchurch Town Hall.
Congratulations to everyone that took part in the Tūhono Festival on the weekend.
The atmosphere was electric when our team took to the stage and they did us proud in their very polished and complete performance, taking home second place in the competitive senior competition.
Tūhono, a By Māori for All annual Kapa Haka event, has been running for twelve years. The kapa haka festival is an annual concert for school groups of all ages.
Our team have also been celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori week with activities planned throughout the week at school. On Thursday, all students were offered fried bread when they attended a selection of Māori words.
