Venue specifications
The Aurora Centre auditorium accommodates 700 people in ergonomically designed, tiered seating.
Our first row is wheelchair accessible and a chair lift is available for patrons to move from the auditorium to the Green Room.
The maximum capacity for the venue, including the stage area, is 1,000 individuals.
Our Green Room can accommodate 164, our Music (M) Block that is co-located has a capacity of 349 and the venue foyer, 257.
We offer 200 on-site car parks for use by staff and patrons.
Technical specifications
The Aurora Centre stage operates off a set of twenty-one hand winches with two sets of tabs, midstage and upstage. Our stage is approximately 276m2 with a width of approximately 21.30m at its maximum and a depth of 12.97m from the house curtain line.
We have a range of additional equipment that can be hired at additional cost. Any property brought into the complex must be approved by Burnside High School. All electrical equipment brought into the complex must be electrically tested and tagged to NZS3760 standards.
