Our Year 12 Outdoor Pursuits students got more than they expected on their recent tramp, with fresh snow falling.
Mt Somers in the South Alps did not disappoint! Our students were in the Mt Somers area to work on navigational and general overnight tramping skills.
Each student had to bring sufficient equipment and clothing to survive two days in the wilderness – although we knew exactly where we were!
The spectacular environment did not disappoint with snow falls and one group had to make their way through snow drifts up to their knees.
A fantastic trip for all involved.
