On the 23rd of February the University of Canterbury hosted their ‘International Gaming Expo’ which also had a wide array of esports competitions as a part of it
Burnside High School had a team of five qualify for the competition, as only one of two High Schools to do so. The event was superbly run and it was a blast for our participating Year 13 students: Jack Yerby, Sean Fife, Ayla Cherry, Christopher Collins and Nick Leeto to attend. They all did Burnside incredibly proud with their friendly attitudes and sportsmanship in the face of far more experienced University teams.
